I heard of this place called Wheeler Geologic Area in a magazine. It is in the middle of Colorado far from the big towns. It is the result of possibly the largest volcanic eruption in earth's history about 26 million years ago. The ash that erupted could completely fill Lake Michigan. Sunday, December 27, 2009

Not sure. i will find out this summer. It is on the to do list in Colorado.
