Golden Bike Park

The Golden Bike Park is getting sweet.  We built some new lines that are more technical and bigger.  After three years of the one downhill trail it was time.  Things are not finished yet but it sure is fun.  Riding a bike down hill hitting berms and jumps never gets old.

Ted captures Time

Ted is really good at hiding in the woods while people ride bikes. He specializes in capturing the breif time they spend flying.  It is really cool when you think about the very small amount of time these photos represent.    Thanks Ted for letting me see that very brief moment.

Trailer Home $757

Drove by this trailer a few times now and took this crap photo. The beauty of it is that a spray painted signs says "For sale $757". What a random number for a home to cost, a nice and cozy home.

Just doing my best to protect the water

The other day I as photographed by the Denver Business Journal for collecting water samples prior to drilling wells. It is nice to be working for a company that values resources and is going to do the right thing if problems are found.

Pigs are Cute

I went on tour of a pig farm yesterday while working. It was interesting, evoking and smelly. These pigs on the right are one day old and can walk within 5 minutes of being born. The mom can kill them by laying on them, which happened while I was there, but it survived. The pigs on the left are 2 weeks old. Most pigs are butchered at 6 months old and 250 lbs. The mother pigs are breeding machines, having litters back to back their whole lives. This is where bacon and pork chops are created, not on the Styrofoam tray at the supermarket. Farms are real. It takes science, hard work, and passion to create food. Shit stinks.
