Busy and ready

Ted took this shot before I was consumed with pre-adventure work and planning.

Life has been very busy lately. I spent the last 3 weeks working long days in Pueblo and getting ready for the adventure on the weekends. The time has now come to pack everything and go. We have only 4 days left in Colorado and then the trip truly begins. Stop #1 is San Fransisco. Stacey and I have never been to this lovely city. We are also planning a stop in Salt Lake City and the redwood forest. The dream is real.

Riding Agian

I haven't rode my bike all winter. Work and snowboarding often take up most of my time. The cold hurts my beaten body too. Colorado has been warm so Ted and I rode a few parks the other day. I guess this is his best picture of me from that Febuary 15, 2009. It was a nice day on the new bike.

New Bike

My friends at Verde hooked me up with this sweet new bike. I am stoked on it. Getting a new bike is like getting a new outfit in 6th grade, you just can't wait to get out there to show all your friends. It also has modern features which I have never had since my last bike is about 5 years old. I can't wait to shred the earth on this thing.

It's cold and I would love to ride my bike on a fun obstacle right now. This got me thinking about looking at some old photos from the glory days of no work and all play. All of these photos are from Steve Buddendeck. He has been a friend since I was 15 years old and is responsible for my sponsorship with DK. I need to go visit him to gather the many more images he has of me riding bikes. What and who would I be without ever having a bike and opportunity to do these things?

options=freedom

This was a few years back in Costa Rica with Ed and Ed's Uncle Cliff. Ed moved to Miami and I went with him. In route, we learned that Uncle Cliff was taking us to Costa Rica. We had true freedom at that moment because we had all the options in the world. We went to surf, laugh, and enjoy a cup of coffee or two. It was a great trip that changed my life. Thanks Cliff and Ed for the option and in turn the freedom.
